Kateryna's journey began at Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine, where she pursued a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology. While her academic pursuits primarily revolved around the intricacies of microorganisms and infectious diseases, she was inspired by the world of microbiology.
Her time spent peering through the lens of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) formed her vision for her art.
Career in Academia
Kateryna's academic career led her to publish books, articles, and papers, sharing her discoveries and insights with the world. The necessity for illustrations in her published works prompted Kateryna to venture into 3D illustration.
From Academic to 3D Artist
Following her daughter's arrival, Kateryna decided to dedicate herself entirely to her art. This choice allowed her the flexibility to work from home.
