Award winning illustrator, Sue Seif has been a professional in medical illustration for over four decades. Receiving her bachelor’s degree from Goucher College in 1968 and her MA at John Hopkins, she went on to found S&A MEDICAL GRAPHICS, a leading creator of demonstrative evidence for the defense of medical malpractice litigation.
She has covered topics ranging from brain diseases to fetal development. Her images explore the human body on a system wide level and to the most minute detail, demonstrating human development and the effects of illnesses and cures.
Self has covered hemorrhages, strokes, hematoma, drug tolerance, premature birth and even head aches. She also has a vast catalogue of anatomical works exploring the brain, lungs, heart and other major organs.
